Lockers
	Each Middle School and Upper School student is assigned a locker and is expected to use that locker throughout the school year. Students may not change lockers without official approval. Decorations on lockers may not be permanent and must be easily removed. Acknowledging the trust that students place in the honesty of one another, students are not required to lock their lockers during school hours. However, because lockers are located outside of school buildings and have been subject to periodic vandalism and theft after school, the school strongly recommends that lockers be locked during non-school hours.

	Middle School Restricted Areas
	Unless accompanied by a faculty member, Middle School students must remain inside the main road within the campus, while also remaining east of the gymnasium and north of the tree line between the school and the pond. Other off limit areas include the parking lot, faculty offices, and the faculty workroom. Middle School students may not enter the Upper School areas, including the MAX, except to attend classes and the clinic. Students may not enter the administration area without permission from a teacher. Students may not use the phone in the administration building or library without written permission from a Middle School teacher.

	Upper School Restricted Areas
	Unless accompanied by a faculty member, students must remain inside the main road within the campus, while also remaining east of the gymnasium and north of the tree line between the school and the pond. Other off-limit areas include the parking lot, faculty offices, and the faculty workroom. Students are not permitted in Middle School areas unless attending a class or until after the Middle School is dismissed. The Central Administration Building is where parents and visitors come to conduct business. While students may pass through this area, they are not permitted to eat, drink, or “hang out” in the office/reception area. A phone in the Upper School office hallway is designated for student use. Students should not use phones located in other parts of the campus such as the Central Administration Building, the Middle School, faculty offices, etc.

	Library
	A library is available at both campuses in which students may read and study without distraction. No food or drink is allowed in the library. All books are checked out for a two-week period and reference books do not circulate. Reserved books may only be checked out at the teacher’s discretion. Students losing or damaging books will be required to pay for their replacement. All library fines or replacement costs must be paid or otherwise taken care by the end of the year. The Walker Resource Center on the North Campus is open between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for research and studying. Middle School students are welcome to use the library after school for a specified length of time, but no later than4:00 p.m. This will require a permission slip signed by a faculty member and a member of the office personnel. Upper School students are permitted to use the library when the building is open, and the library will close at 6:00 p.m. Upper School students during the day may not bring in backpacks, use earphones, or use the library breakout rooms without first getting permission from the Librarian. A tradition has been established for students to make donations to the library for the purchase of library books on their birthdays, as memorials for loved ones, or to honor faculty. The student may choose the book, and it is marked as a gift from that student.

	Parking
	Each campus has parking facilities adjacent to the school. Visitor parking, as well as handicapped parking, is clearly marked. Visitors and students are requested to park only in designated areas. Upper School student parking for the school year will be arranged on a designated lot system, wherein the students will register their cars on the first day of classes by means of a registration form. Students will receive a parking permit at the time of registration. Seniors, juniors, sophomores, and faculty have designated lots in the main parking area and in the lot of the Center for Performing Arts. Some sophomores and all freshmen will park at the gravel lot on the east side of the gym and in the spaces adjacent to the road in front of the gym. Students may not park in the spaces directly in the front of the gym. A student car parked anywhere on campus during school hours must have the parking permit tag prominently displayed on the lower left hand driver’s side of the front windshield. A tag in any other location will be considered improperly displayed. A lost tag must be replaced immediately by contacting the Campus Life Prefect. Parking violations will conform to the infractions and discipline section of the code of conduct in the school handbook. Parking violations/consequences include: Improperly displaying a tag/detention at fourth offense per semester Not displaying a tag/detention Parking in any lot or space other than the one designated for your class (handicapped, visitor, faculty, etc.)/detention and $10 fine for each offense. In addition to the above consequences, driving privileges revoked for one week for third offense; driving privileges revoked for one month for fourth offense; driving privileges revoked for remainder of the year for fifth offense. Failure to pay the fine within five school days will result in the suspension of the driving privilege until the fine is paid. Displaying a tag other than the one issued to you/Appearance before the Honor Council Giving your issued tag to another student/Appearance before the Honor Council Students may not return to their cars during the school day, prior to leaving school, without permission from the office or a faculty member. Students may not drive from building to building on campus during the school day. Students may not pick up Middle School students to give them rides to the gym, the field house, practice fields, etc.
